SHIFT: Michael Crowe

‘Take your time to make sure you get it wrong’ is the principle for the after-school class ‘Spaghetti Club’, explains Michael Crowe in this film describing the content and outcomes of the programme.

Michael Crowe explains the ideas behind ‘Spaghetti Club’, an after-school class where children pursue creative writing and drawing exercises led by Crowe.

Set against a selection of the children’s work, this film traces ‘Spaghetti Club’ from its beginnings as a discussion group to a writing and drawing club that eventually established itself on Instagram, with Crowe reflecting on exercises and methodologies for producing ‘the wrong answers’.
